Nursing Clinical III consists of 192 hours of advanced medical surgical nursing, and allows the student to assimilate information learned in previous levels of instruction while continuing to build on skills such as therapeutic communication, assessment, and medication administration. In addition, students will also learn to assess the clients with a higher acuity of needs. Students will also continue to build on skills for venous access, and wound care and documenting appropriately. Students will continue to Identify problems and contribute to the nursing process. Specialty rotations may also be utilized to augment learning as available.
