Report Inappropriate Online Behavior
Bullying is never ok.
Hate Speech is never ok.
Sexual Harassment is never ok.
If someone sends you or a classmate inappropriate messages through ctYOU's messaging system, attempts to bully you or a classmate in the system, directs hate speech towards you or a classmate in the system, or sexually harasses you or a classmate in the system, you have the right to report it. This applies to personal messages, assignments, discussion forums, or any part of ctYOU. Poor online citizenship on ctYOU will not be tolerated.
All messages sent through ctYOU's messaging system are saved on the server and are traceable. At the very least, anyone who abuses the privilege of using ctYOU runs the risk of having their user rights permanently revoked. All reports will be sent to the appropriate CareerTech division and the instructor of the course.
If you post or send a message containing online threats, bullying, hate speech, or sexual harassment, it can adversely affect your grade in a class or result in expulsion from school and/or legal action, so think before you post or send that message!
When reporting an incident, please provide as much information as you can. Give details about what you experienced or witnessed, including the name of the course and instructor (if applicable), as well as the date and approximate time the incident occurred.
