Bed 3 is a 26 year old male who was transferred from the ICU 2 days ago from a DKA episode due to a UTI.  He is allergic to Demerol.  He is on an 1800 ADA diet with SSI orders.  His insulin pens are at bedside.  The tech has taken his FSBS and put it on his board with his Vital Signs.  He is up ad lib. His PIV was removed this morning.  His morning labs are pending which you should already have back.  Doctor has written orders for him to be discharged today and wants discharge teaching completed on DKA.  His ride should be here to pick her up about 2 hrs.
