TINKER FEDERAL CREDIT UNION NAMES RICHARD BOONE OF CHOCTAW MIDDLE SCHOOL
TEACHER OF THE YEAR

OKLAHOMA CITY - Tinker Federal Credit Union (TFCU) recently named Richard Boone of Choctaw Middle School Teacher of the Year. Boone was one of three winners in TFCU’s annual Teacher of the Year Awards contest.

The contest was open to any Oklahoma educator who taught some aspect of financial responsibility to 7th – 12th grade students. Each entrant submitted a video explaining how they taught financial topics to their students and why they feel it is important to incorporate that into their curriculum.

Boone said his students enjoy learning financial literacy just as much as he enjoys teaching it. He’s excited to have TFCU’s Financial Empowerment team return to host a financial education workshop for his students in the future.

Tinker Federal Credit Union is the largest credit union in Oklahoma, with $3.8 billion in assets and over 363,000 members.
