High School Human Growth and Development
Course Description: Child Growth and Development students study the physical, intellectual, social, and emotional development of a child from conception to five years of age. This course teaches parenting and care giving roles in relation to the developing child as well as guiding them in the learning process. The on-site preschool lab allows for actual experience in planning and implementing lessons and observing preschool children. This class is a basic foundation course for any student wanting to pursue a career in education or working with children in any capacity. (18 weeks of instruction)
